1. Who is Edgar Allan Poe? When and where has he born?
Edgar Allan Poe was an American writer, poet, critic and editor best known for evocative short stories and poems that captured the imagination and interest of readers around the world. He was born in Boston on January 19, 1809.


2. What was he famous for?
Edgar Allan Poe is famous for his tales and poems of horror and mystery, including "The Fall of the House of Usher," "The Tell-Tale Heart" and "The Raven."


3. Did he get married?
Poe married his cousin Virginia when she was 13 and he was 24.


4. How did he died?
The death of Edgar Allan Poe on October 7, 1849, has remained mysterious, the circumstances leading up to it are uncertain and the cause of death is disputed. On October 3, the American author was found delirious in Baltimore, Maryland, "in great distress, and ... in need of immediate assistance", according to the man who found him. He was taken to the Washington College Hospital, where he died. On October 7, he was 40 years old. Poe was never coherent enough to explain how he came to be in this condition.
